1Thess 5:11-13 Wherefore comfort (exhort) yourselves together, and edify one another, even as ye do. 12) And we beseech you brethern, to know them which labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13) And esteem them very highly in love for their works sake. And be at peace among yourselves. The bible makes it clear that we need to assemble ourselves together, even more so as we see the day of Christ return approching. We need our local church and the pastor God has given us; Jere. 3:15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. If we are watching our favorite TV preacher or mega chruch, there is no way we can know them. We are instructed in the word to know them that labor among us. When we submit ourselves to the pastor God gave us, help in our local church, by getting the gospel to this lost and dying world, feeding the hungry, praying for the sick, visiting the prisons, teaching the childrem and visiting the Nursing homes, etc., we are doing the will of God. How many TV ministrers visit us when we're sick, help us when we're in sin, getting us back to a healthy Christ- like condition? How many bury our loved ones, marry our families and pray the prayer of faith with us in times of need? Our pastor is a gift from God according to Eph. 4: 11-12 And he gave some, apostles, and some, prophets; and some, evangelist: and some, pastors and teachers; 12) For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: It is very important who we know; and who we follow as they follow Jesus. I encourage you to stay in church, and share your faith with everyone you meet. Stay in the word, stay in prayer and listen to those God has placed in your life. In His service daily, Evangelist Sally B. Tussey
