OVERCOMING THE WORLD

Sometimes as Christians we can be overwhelmed with the world's view of things, plus all the terrible things we see every day.  Its hard to understand why Christians are so hated by the world,  but Jesus told us this would happen, its very plain in scripture,  so then why are we so shocked?  Jesus tells us in John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. We need to know, the Lord will keep His mighty hand upon us and give us peace; its really not hard to be a Christian:   Proverbs 26:3-4 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:  because he trusteth in thee.
Trust ye in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength;

The Lord is putting things in order at this time, soon the Christians will be caught away, in the twinkling of an eye;  1Thess. 4:12-18 That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.  But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again,  even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.  For this we say, unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God:  and the dead in Christ shall rise first:  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air:  and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
Wherefore comfort one another with there words.

I love these words of comfort; I also, like many of you have loved one's that have gone on to their reward, I know their waiting our arrival.  When they were laid in the grave, that was only the house they lived in, for the Bible tells us in, 2Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. So I see in this verse that they have completely overcome the world and do not walk by faith any longer, they made it home, therefore they are with the precious Redeemer,  our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!
We must keep on fighting the good fight of faith, running the race and making a difference in the dark and dying world.  We are the light, therefore light dispels darkness.  We can and will do all things through Christ who strengths us. Phillippians4:7
Jesus gave us the commission in, Mark 16:15-20 And he said unto them, (his disciples, believers in Christ,which we are) Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
He that believeth and is bapitzed shall be saved; but he that beleiveth not shall be damned.  And these sings shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Lets look what happened when they followed his directions, Mark 16:19-20  So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right had of God.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

In the Message bible, verse 20 reads:  And the disciples went everywhere preaching, the Master working right with them, validating the message with indisputable evidence.

If we're doing any thing for the Lord, we know the devil wants us to  “shut up”, but, we don't answer to the devil;  Jesus is in control, if we as Christians allow His Holy Spirit to move in us, listen to His voice and then obey
Spend time with Jesus every day, study His word, praise and worship His Holy name.
Jesus told us that we would have tribulations:  John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.   In the world ye shall have tribulations:  but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Life is not hard for a true Christian, its only hard for the sinner: Proverbs13:13-15
Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.
The law of the wise is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of the death.
Good understand giveth favor, but the way of the transgressor is hard.

Life however would be very hard if we claim to be a Christians and are living like a sinner.
 We have work to do, and lots of it.  Are time is now, lets get busy and win the lost to Jesus, His Holy Spirit (the teacher and Spirit of truth) lives in us, so be of good cheer, He will show you what to do.

In His service daily,
